Our Philosophy

Michelle Ruffalo, LM, CPM, has been a licensed midwife in Florida since 2010, with birth work experience since 2004. A former doula and childbirth educator, Michelle's journey into midwifery began at 40, driven by her passion for compassionate, listened-to care. She's married to Ralph for nearly 30 years and is a proud mom to Malachi.

Courtney Julien, LM, CPM, has been dedicated to midwifery since 2017 across Florida. Inspired by her women's studies background, she is passionate about serving marginalized communities. She and her husband M­ike are proud parents to daughter Meila.

Nicole Whiting, LM, CPM, began her midwifery journey in 2023. Originally from Chicago, she moved to Florida in 2020. Love for home birth sparked her passion after witnessing her niece's birth in 2003. She is also a proud puppy mom to Pretzel.

Torri Richardson, a Student Midwife at Florida School of Traditional Midwifery, will graduate in 2026. With a background in Public Health, she's passionate about addressing racial disparities in maternal mortality. Torri strives to create a welcoming, safe space for all during pregnancy and postpartum, also providing meal prep services in Tampa.
